If a student has completed section one of the course, then you will want to move them from the registered section of your student progress log to the active section. To do this,
- Find the student in your progress log who has completed section one, and mark off the one sub-task of “Student has completed Section 1.”
- This automatically triggers the system to move the student from the Registered section into your Active section.
- It will change the student’s eCourse Stage from Registered to Course In Progress - 0 to 90 days
- It will also check if you have completed the original subtask. If you have, it will assign 13 more subtasks related to collecting documents for the housing portfolio, creating a folder on the shared drive, sending the student their sample screen information, and ensuring the student hits the milestone sections within the course at sections 5, 8, and 12.
- Additionally, the student will be automatically assigned to you, and
- The due date will be changed to 7 days from when this action is triggered so that you can check in with the student often and regularly.
- It will change the student’s eCourse Stage from Registered to Course In Progress - 0 to 90 days
You will see that some of the new sub-tasks for the student have dependencies, meaning that you can't complete that subtask until other subtasks are completed first. For example, in order to check in any Housing Portfolio Documents, you need to create a folder on the shared drive first.
Check off the corresponding subtasks as the student completes the course sections or turns in assignments.
