How do I know if my students are eligible for a Landlord Incentive Fund, like the Rent Guarantee Program? Print

The Rent Well program will double-check a student's eligibility when a landlord is registering the guarantee. However, an instructor should also know whether their students qualify for the Rent Guarantee Program when they are graduating their class. A student is eligible if they meet all of the criteria below:

they have attended and completed a Rent Well tenant education course in the last 18 months,
they have never utilized a landlord incentive fund,
they are at 60% or below area median income (which is verified by supporting documentation), and they have at least one verified barrier to housing (which is also verified by supporting documentation.)
